Social media had plenty of interesting takes after Seattle Seahawks superstar wide receiver DK Metcalf was seen working out with a notable NFL quarterback.

The 26-year-old DK Metcalf is entering his sixth NFL season, looking to help Seattle rebound after missing out on the playoffs in 2023. The Seahawks will open their 2024 season with a home contest against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 8.

Fitness coach John Shackleton posted a video of Metcalf working out at 6:00 a.m. with old friend and ex-Seahawks teammate Russell Wilson, who’s now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And though it’s been over two years since they last played together, the chemistry certainly hasn’t waned between DK Metcalf and Russell Wilson:

Social media had plenty of interesting things to say, with some even suggesting that the two will soon reunite via trade in Steel City:

Interestingly, Benjamin Allbright of KOA Colorado reported after the 2024 NFL Draft that the Steelers called about possible trades for Metcalf plus San Francisco 49ers superstars Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.

But there aren’t any indicators that Seattle is looking to trade Metcalf, who has two years remaining on the $72 million extension he signed in the 2022 offseason. If anything else, Seattle would likely prefer to deal Tyler Lockett, who’s five years older than Metcalf.

DK Metcalf Is A Vital Part Of Seahawks’ Future

The Seahawks have every reason to keep DK Metcalf, who’s only about to enter his age-27 season. A healthy Metcalf is a top-10 receiver in football, and Seattle probably wouldn’t get anything close to equal value in return if they were to deal him.

Though Geno Smith (34 in October) and the aforementioned Lockett are on the wrong side of 30, there’s a promising young nucleus on this Seattle offense led by Metcalf, Kenneth Walker, Charles Cross and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Add it all up, and the only logic here is for Seattle to keep Metcalf around long-term.

NFL Fans Are Losing Their Minds After Seahawks WR DK Metcalf Reveals His Insane Diet That No Normal Human Could Possibly Survive On

NFL fans are in shock after learning about the strange-but-true diet that Seattle Seahawks superstar wide receiver DK Metcalf follows daily.

Not that DK Metcalf needs any advice on what to eat and not eat. He’s one of the most athletically gifted NFL players, blessed with a great combination of size, speed, and physicality.

On their official Instagram account, SportsCenter posted a series of unique diets and “food takes” from professional athletes.

They included the 26-year-old Metcalf, who claims that he only eats a single meal daily. According the Seahawks’ fan favorite, that meal consists of one coffee and three to four bags of candy every day:

Here’s how fans reacted to the stunning admission from Metcalf:

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Metcalf has been one of the NFL’s most explosive players since entering the NFL in 2019. He has hit the 50-catch and 900-yard marks in his first five seasons, surpassing the 1K receiving mark three times.

Through his first five seasons, DK Metcalf has racked up 372 receptions for 5,332 yards and 43 touchdowns. Metcalf has helped Seattle to three playoff appearances (2019, 2020 and 2022) and one NFC West division crown (2020).

DK Metcalf & Seahawks Look To Bounce Back After Tough 2023 Season

Expectations were a little higher for the Seahawks heading into 2023 after a surprise nine-win season and playoff berth in 2022, led by Comeback Player of the Year and quarterback Geno Smith.

But the Seahawks struggled with consistency on both sides of the ball, and it took a strong finish (3-1 over their final four games) just to finish above .500. The 9-8 record was not enough to qualify for the postseason, as the Green Bay Packers claimed the final wild card spot via tiebreaker.

Metcalf and the Seahawks will try to put the tough season behind them and return to the postseason when they open their season against the Denver Broncos in Week 1.
