The most awkward moment happened when comedian Jeff Ross made fun of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.Brady was singled out for criticism at the Sunday night Netflix live-streamed roast due to his divorce, the football cheating scandal, and his animosity with Bill Belichick. Kim Kardashian was also singled out among the attendees.
Among the first comedians to take the stage was Jeff Ross, who cracked a joke about Brady’s first encounter with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Ross made a joke about Kraft asking Brady if he “wanted a massage,” referencing a tale about Kraft’s supposed misadventures at massage parlors that catered to sex.
Brady hated the joke so much that he approached Ross, who was heard on the microphone telling him to stop.
“Don’t say that sh— again,” Brady tried to whisper into Ross’ ear.
It turns out that this was not scripted, and Tom Brady was pissed. Drew Bledsoe and Julian Edelman revealed that much.
Bledsoe stated that the moment wasn’t on the teleprompter, so it wasn’t part of the script, so they knew it was real, and Brady was upset. Bledsoe further stated that the powers to be purposely did not tell anybody that Robert Kraft would be there just so the comedians wouldn’t talk so badly about him.
Bledsoe later confirmed to “The Dan Le Batard Show” that it was not scripted. Instead, he believes that Brady genuinely told off Ross.
“That was an authentic moment,” Bledsoe said. “We’re sitting up on the stage so I can see the teleprompter, I can see what’s scripted and what’s not, and that was not scripted. Tom came up and made sure they weren’t getting after our buddy RKK.”
The incident didn’t detract from the rest of the night’s roasts.

Brady had one of many lines of the night when he recalled the Deflategate controversy.
“We got so many great football greats tonight. But where’s Roger Goodell? Remember Deflategate?” Brady asked. “The NFL spent $20 million and found that it was more ‘probable’ than not that I was ‘generally aware’ that someone may have deflated my footballs. You could’ve just given me the $20 million, and I would’ve just told you I f—ing did it.”
Brady’s joke received one of the loudest applauses of the night.
