Travis Kelce has been everywhere since the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII victory in February, but his latest public appearance left the NFL star with some questions to answer. Kelce surprised everyone by appearing in a TikTok video with a popular blonde heartthrob, but it was Olivia Dunne, not his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Beyond advertising their shared sponsor, Accelerator Active Energy drink, Dunne had an ulterior motive for the star-studded crossover, and it is bound to lead to a conversation between Swift and Kelce.
“I feel like you’re just here for concert tickets…” read the text on the video that went out to her 8 million followers, mimicking a popular sound on TikTok.
It’s true that since starting to date Swift, the Chiefs tight end has started getting a lot of attention solely because of his connection with the music superstar. Clearly, Dunne’s marketing strategy worked well, because the video generated more views than any other video on her account in the past month.
“only here for Travis,” commented one of many Swifties who found the video.
“travis, the bills can’t be that high,” joked a fan.
While the video was nothing more than an ad campaign, a few people in the comments tried to use it to drive a wedge between Taylor and Travis.
“Wait why does he follow her on instagram but not taylor,” commented several eagle-eyed internet detectives.
Whether or not the 2024 NCAA gymnastics champion ended up with Eras Tour tickets, the video certainly did its job in causing a stir.
Just in: Travis Kelce show out gratitude and reveals the message of Encouragement Taylor Swift send to him, which made him win the home hitting contest, and he drop this two messages for his fans.
EASTLAKE, Ohio (AP) — Travis Kelce’s power extends beyond the football field or dating one of the world’s most famous women.
Kansas City’s talented tight end, who also happens to be pop superstar Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, showed off his batting skills on Saturday by winning a home run contest at a charity softball event hosted by Browns tight end David Njoku.
Kelce, who grew up in Cleveland, arrived at Classic Park, home of the minor league Lake County Captains, just as the event was getting underway. As he made his way onto the field, Kelce shook hands with some fans before warmly greeting Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Once in the batter’s box, Kelce, who played high school baseball, put on an impressive performance. After connecting on his final swing and sending another ball over the fence to clinch the win, Kelce flipped his bat in celebration and took a victory lap around the bases.
He was awarded a trophy he’ll be able to show to Swift, who is performing concerts in Scotland this weekend.
A three-time Super Bowl champion, Kelce has become close in recent years with Njoku, who has attended his offseason Tight End University.
That’s my guy, man,” Njoku said. “He’s one of the purest human beings I’ve met in my life honestly. Always means well. Just great overall dude.”
Kelce has always backed Cleveland’s baseball team and last year throw out an ill-fated ceremonial first pitch that he spiked like a football.
Kelce has stayed busy throughout the offseason. He recently took part in the Chiefs’ organized team activities and visited the White House when the Super Bowl champions were hosted by President Joe Biden.
