The couple finally made their declaration of love over the weekend.

During the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday, Jennifer, 42, confirmed her relationship with Common, 52, with People.

“Everything is wonderful,” the TV host shared.

“That’s all you need to know.”

At the Daytime Emmys, the Jennifer Hudson Show won for Live Sound Mixing and Editing.

Although they knew each other since 2014. the two initially sparked dating rumors back in August 2022.

They were spotted in Chicago together after filming their movie, Breathe.

Since then, the Breathe castmates made several appearances together but did not openly address their relationship.

During their courtship, the publication reported they were the Nobu restaurant in Malbu in August 2023 and saw the MJ: Musical the following month.

In early January, the actors stepped out together at a Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers game, according to the outlet.

HIS GUEST TURN

In late January, the Smokin’ Aces actor appeared as a guest on her daytime talk show.

Common did not name his girlfriend when she asked if he was in a relationship.

“I’m a host. And so I have to ask you this question because everybody always wants to know this.”

“Are you dating anyone?” she pressed.

Jennifer and her ex-fiance, wrestler David Otunga, 44, started dating in 2007.

The exes were in a relationship for about 10 years.

After less than a year of dating, the wrestler asked Jennifer to marry him.

In 2008. David popped the question when Jennifer turned 27, according to Hello Magazine.

One year after their engagement, Jennifer and David welcomed their first and only son, David Daniel Junior.

The former couple split in 2017 before they could walk down the aisle.

“I’m in a relationship…with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life,” he played coy.

“She’s smart, she loves God, she has something real down-to-earth about her, she’s talented.”

“But I set my standard kind of high because she had to have an EGOT,” he added, alluding to her Tony win in 2022 and her two Grammy wins.

“She had to win an Oscar on her first movie,” Common revealed, hinting at her Dreamgirls win in 2007.

“I set my standard high. She had to get her own talk show,” he joked.

“Are you happy in your relationship?” Jennifer then asked.

“This relationship is a happy place, for me,” Common admitted.

“Here at the happy place, we like to respect people’s privacy,” Jennifer mentioned.

“So I’m not going to ask you too many more questions about that.”

DATING WHOOPI?

Around the same time, the Just Wright star had to fend off dating rumors.

During his appearance on The View, co-host Sara Haines, 46, jokingly tried to figure out the identity of Common’s girlfriend.

“I know you’ve noticed. People want to know what’s going on in your love life.” Sara said.

“So you were on the Jennifer Hudson Show yesterday, And Jennifer asked if you were dating anyone, you never actually named names though.”

“”Had to have her own talk show. Had to have an EGOT.’ So I want to get a little more specific right now,” she quoted, causing the audience to laugh,

“Are you dating Whoopi [Goldberg]?” Sara flat-out asked.

“Inquiring minds want to know.”

“The shoe fits,” Common jokingly replied.

“She does fit all those.”

“He’s busy,” Whoopi, 68, responded and squashed the dating rumors.

“Okay. Don’t start stuff with me and Jennifer, okay!”

“[Jennifer is one of the greatest inspirations.[Whoopi] is one of the greatest inspirations for me and so many of us,” Common shared.

“I just want you to know that. You look beautiful!”
