Tom Brady's message to Patrick Mahomes destroys any hope of a Chiefs win

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are determined to make history by becoming the first team to secure three consecutive Super Bowl victories. Following their triumphs over the Philadelphia Eagles in February 2023 and the San Francisco 49ers the

subsequent year, they are now aiming for an unprecedented three-peat.

A sceptical Brady

Yet, there is one person who remains skeptical about their chances-Tom Brady. With more Super Bowl wins than anyone, Brady shared his doubts about the Chiefs’ mission during an appearance on Colin Cowherd’s show on Monday.

“The margin of error is razor-thin,” Brady said.

“To win one Super Bowl is extremely difficult. To win two, back to back, what the Chiefs have done… I mean, as we know, in the history of the sport, nearly impossible. To win three in a row, there’s a reason why no one’s done it: because it’s hard [enough] to win one in a row.

“So to put three of those together, and back-to-back-to-back seasons, while drafting last, a very hard schedule, all the turnover and free agency guys continuing to be motivated … it’s a big challenge.

“And that’s nothing to say that the Chiefs couldn’t accomplish that, believe me, everybody would probably put them as one of the odds-on favorites to do it. But even that there’s not a 50 percent chance of that happening. There’s way less than that.”

Reflecting on last season, the Chiefs’ opener against the Detroit Lions was expected to be a straightforward win. However, Kansas City suffered an unexpected loss.

They managed to recover and made another Super Bowl run, but they know that their success last season, especially with their receiving corps, was unusual.

Patrick Mahomes Makes Shocking Confession About Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may have won over Taylor Swift’s heart with his charming personality and looks, but teammate Patrick Mahomes believes he deserves some credit for helping the power couple come together.

Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs received plenty more media coverage and attention than usual in 2023, and not just because they won another Super Bowl. It was largely thanks to Kelce’s relationship with the Grammy Award-winning singer that went public last fall.

Swift attended the majority of Chiefs games in 2023, including their entire postseason run that ended with a victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.

During his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”, Patrick Mahomes made an interesting confession for Kelce: The two-time league MVP claims that he was the one who got the ball rolling on the Kelce-Swift thing:

“I like to take some of the credit. I was the one who invited Travis to his first Taylor concert…He was sitting in my suite, so I feel like I was the matchmaker. I had some input in there… ‘Just go for it. Just go for it.’ And you know Travis man, he does it…I’m glad it’s all worked out for the best.”

They haven’t been together for a full year yet, but there’s already speculation that Kelce will soon propose to Swift. Multiple reports have suggested otherwise, but only Kelce and Swift know deep down if that’s on the table right now.

Mahomes didn’t put together his best statistical season in 2023 (4,183 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and a career-high 14 interceptions), but he saved his best for when it mattered most as usual.

In four playoff games, Mahomes completed 69.8 percent of pass attempts for 1,051 yards, six touchdowns and one interception as KC completed the first Super Bowl repeat since the 2004 New England Patriots.

Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs Begin Title Defense vs. Ravens

The Chiefs will be challenged early in their Super Bowl title defense, with reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens coming to town in the NFL Kickoff Game on Sept. 5.

Though Mahomes is 4-1 against Jackson’s Ravens (including the 17-10 AFC Championship Game win in January), four of those contests have been decided by a single score. We shouldn’t expect anything different when the league’s two most recent MVP winners square off in the opening game of 2024.
