The camp runs from May 14 to 16, and with Landry expected to participate, Jacksonville will be able to assess how the veteran receiver performs on the field without making any financial commitments to him.

The Jaguars will be able to use the three-day camp to determine whether Landry can still participate. The five-time Pro Bowler has had a somewhat promising career since joining the league with the Miami Dolphins in 2014, but he struggled with injuries in 2022, which is a primary reason he did not participate in 2023.

Last week, Jarvis Landry spoke on the Rich Eisen show to discuss why now is the right moment for him to return to the league after missing the entire season.

“The last two seasons that I’ve played haven’t went ideally for me. Being injured in Cleveland, injured in New Orleans, last year just trying to make sure I get my legs back under me,” Landry said during the show’s segment, guest-hosted by NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.

“To be able to walk into an opportunity this year, going out to get healthy, working with doctors, getting the support from people that I trust dearly, switching agents in the middle of all this, it really was a dark time for me trying to figure all of that out and maneuver.”

The team has plugged one of its most gaping holes following Calvin Ridley’s departure, giving quarterback Trevor Lawrence another formidable target.

While the moment belonged to Thomas, his mom was the one who stole the show. Asked by ESPN’s Laura Rutledge how far her family’s come, given that her son is now NFL-bound, Sondra Thomas said they came from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Check it out in the video below:

While the response got a laugh out of folks, Rutledge is the one taking the heat as she’s been accused of asking a stupid question.

To be fair, it was a pretty stupid question,” one fan wrote.

Honestly it’s a great answer to a stupid question,” wrote another.

Something so wholesome about the response,” a fan commented.

They be wanting them sad rags to riches stories and she’s like “aw we just came from Louisiana” haha,” another said.

Brian Thomas Jr. Is A Great Fit For The Jags

Though he played second fiddle to Malik Nabers at LSU, Brian Thomas is a star in his own right and could be a real difference-maker for the Jaguars.

A 6ft-3 wideout who ran a 4.33 40-yard dash, Jags fans will look forward to seeing him on the field in their colors. The former Tigers wide receiver’s impressive catching range, ability to beat defensive backs off the line, and incredible pace should make him an exciting, deep threat in the NFL.

He’s also likely to make his mom very proud following his move to the pros.
