NFL fans are in shock after learning that Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts lives in a modest home, despite signing a $255 million contract extension last year.
Jalen Hurts completed his four-year rookie deal in 2023, so his $255 million extension kicks in this upcoming season. But he already has over $6 million in NFL earnings, per Spotrac, not to mention all the money he has made through endorsements.
So fans couldn’t believe it when Twitter/X user @polo_man404 explained that Hurts lives in a modest $200,000 home in Houston, Texas. Hurts stays at the house with his parents when he’s away from football:

You always here stories of professional athletes immediately buying a mansion, fancy car and luxurious jewelry soon after they get their first paychecks. But Jalen Hurts is a model example of how rich and famous people don’t need to spend all their money lavishly to live a satisfying life.
Hurts just might decide to spend a little more as more and more money from that $255 million deal flows into his bank account. But the 25-year-old has learned at a young age that you won’t regret saving your money early.
Jalen Hurts’ Eagles Look To Bounce Back From Tough 2023 Season
Jalen Hurts and the defending NFC champions looked poised for another deep playoff run in 2023, jumping out to a 10-1 start. But the wheels unexpectedly came off in the second half, with Philly dropping five of their final six games.
The 11-6 finish forced Philly to open the postseason on the road against the NFC South division-winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who crushed the Eagles 32-9 to dethrone them as the conference champions.
Hurts and the Eagles will begin their redemption quest when they play the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 6 in São Paulo, the first-ever NFL game that will take place in the country of Brazil.

Jalen Hurts has made a short speech about women at a curious time, earning himself lots of praise online.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was at the Eagles Women’s Football Festival on Sunday and referred to females as “the rock of everything.”
“Women are thrusted into positions to have to overcome this, overcome that,” Hurts said. “And they always do.. Yet they lack the respect they deserve.. We all know the woman is the rock of everything.”
This comes around a week after Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker made some polarizing comments pertaining to women at a commencement ceremony at Benedictine College in Kansas. The three-time Super Bowl winner encouraged women to embrace their roles as homemakers, sparking rife debate, as well as a petition to get him cut from the Chiefs.
Meanwhile, the Eagles annual event is geared towards allowing women of all ages to interact with current and former Philly players.

Jalen Hurts Means What He Says About Women
When Jalen Hurts praises women, you know he means it. The QB has an all-female management team led by his agent, Nicole Lynn, of Klutch Sports and has been a pioneer in that regard.
Chantal Romain and Shakeemah Simmons-Winter take care of communication for him. Rachel Everett deals with marketing relations and Jenna Malphrus handles management.
Lynn secured what was then the biggest contract in NFL history for Hurts last offseason. The quarterback previously told Sports Illustrated he hired her because he saw something in her that reminded him of himself.
“That turns me up,” he said. “It lights a fire in me. It does something to me, because I know I’ll prove you wrong. But I saw that same fire in Nicole. She said, ‘I’m a woman. People are going to overlook me. People are going to doubt me. They’re not going to give me the due respect. But I’m overcoming it, just like you do.’ And that’s where we really hit it off. We had the same vision.”
