KIM Kardashian has been a global fashion star for years, backed by the best in the business and luxury brands desperate to dress her.
But according to a New York stylist, the reality star’s fashion profile has plummeted as she ages into her mid-forties, and amid shocking clothing catastrophes, her team seems reluctant to speak up.

Kim, 43, was photographed wearing a skin-tight cream outfit on Sunday.
The Hulu star sported a fur vest, which she teamed up with nude tights and heels.
The mom of four was off to a basketball game. Kim shared a photo of her outfit on Instagram. “Cream dream,” she captioned the post.
“What is she doing? Where are the stylists?” asked one follower.
Through June, Kim was photographed wearing plenty of unusual, tight-fitting clothes.
Wardrobe consultant Amanda Sanders suggested the influencer was “struggling” to put on the right clothes these days.
She went so far as to describe a cream fur piece Kim posted on Instagram as “an awful look, no matter what she puts on it.”
“It would still look terrible even if Kim was much thinner,” Sanders told The U.S. Sun.
“Kim is also getting older and may be going through a midlife style crisis.
“We will see good outfits and bad ones, as well.”

According to Sanders, Kim’s wardrobe malfunctions hinge partly on her “glam squad” not guiding her.
“Kim can look great when her stylists are around to dress and accessorize her,” she said.
“But outside of that, the scenario for Kim is like the Emperor’s New Clothes.
Younger stars no longer even look at Kim Kardashian as a fashion icon.

“No one would challenge Kim’s clothing choices.
“This is despite her struggle to put on the right ones and get out of the door on time.
“When she styles herself, it is not as form-fitting or flattering as it could be when she has somebody else’s opinion and help.

Kim rose through the fashion ranks after working as Paris Hilton’s stylist in 2006.
She became a household name with the launch of The Kardashians.
The family’s DASH stores opened, with the first in Calabasas.

After marrying rapper Kanye West in 2014, Kim caught the eye of designers like Thierry Mugler.
Kim famously spoke about Kanye choosing outfits for her when they married.
“I always thought I had really good style — until I met my husband, and he told me that I had the worst style,” she told W Magazine in 2018.
That same year, she bagged a CDFA Influencer Award.

“I’m shocked that I’m winning a fashion award when I’m naked most of the time,” she said.

Sanders said Kim had relied heavily on designers after the pair divorced.
“She said that she didn’t have a sense of style until Kanye dressed her head to toe,” she said.
“And then, Kim relied on designers with whom she was working.

“When she was working with Dolce & Gabbana, she looked stunning.
“These fashion houses helped to influence Kim’s fashion decisions.”
Outside of this, Kim was working closely with Balenciaga. By 2022, she was their ambassador.
ORDER IN
According to Sanders, the Hulu star would be sent clothes every day.
“I believe brands send Kim clothes daily, and now, sometimes, she could be putting on the wrong items,” she said.
“Kim might have designer clothes in her closet, but that does not mean they fit or go together.
“They may not flatter Kim’s changing body.”

Kim’s weight loss journey has been well documented, and she has changed her style.
After her pregnancy with son Saint, she shed 60 pounds and said she followed a fat-burning Atkins diet.
The 2022 Met Gala, saw the star lose 16 pounds to squeeze into Marilyn Monroe’s dress.
KEEPING CURVES
Sanders claimed Kim’s body shape had changed, which also impacted what she chose to wear.
“Women can struggle with what to wear and what to throw on as their bodies change when they age as well,” she said.
“In the forties, the body changes week to week sometimes.
“Because of our hormones, we gain and lose weight, as well as water weight.
It would be significant that she is not wearing Skims much anymore.

“After Kim’s major weight loss, her body seems to have returned to its usual curviness.
“Kim was very thin for a while, but now her body looks curvier.
“She has not been making the best clothes choices for her particular body type.”

Interestingly, Kim’s moneyspinning Skims brand is marketed as Solutions for Every Body.
“I’m all about comfort and glamour at the same time,” she told Harpers Bazaar in 2020.
“I always think you can do it all, so why not have everything that you need as far as your products?” she added.
Before now, Kim never wore things where you could not see the real shape of her body.

Celebrities like Kim Cattrall, Megan Fox, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, and Sabrina Carpenter have appeared in Skims campaigns.
In June, Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan became the face of the brand’s soft lounge collection.
SKIMS OUT
Now, Sanders suggested Kim was giving shapewear a pass.
“She does not seem to be wearing shapewear, which is significant,” she said.
“Before now, Kim never wore things where you could not see the real shape of her body.
“It would be significant that she was not wearing Skims as much anymore.
“In warmer weather, shapewear can also feel too fitted and hot.”

1: Perhaps think about shapewear if wanting to wear very clingy clothes.
2: Plan and pull out outfits, try them, add accessories, and take pictures.
3: Play with pieces and mix and match from one designer to the next.
4: Have two pieces from the same designer or one from one designer and one from the next designer.
5: Lay everything out the night before.
“At the end of the day, Kim struggles to find herself with her styling when she is on her own,” Sanders continued.
“Most people also might put on something, and if it does not fit, they move on to the next outfit.
“Kim just seems to keep them on and then goes out.
“Kim also does not want to look or dress like her mother.
“So she is not going in that direction any time soon.
“Kris Jenner puts on layers and suits and jackets, and in the 40s and 50s, that is appropriate too.
“Kim does not wear great colors or great silhouettes.
“All she has been doing recently is throwing something on, and she thinks it looks OK.
“Kim could perhaps try out more sophisticated, more structured looks.”
