The mayor of Margate City, New Jersey, has expressed regret to Jason and Kylie Kelce following the release of an online video purporting to document an altercation with a fan during Memorial Day Weekend.

A woman allegedly requested for a picture of Jason and Kylie Kelce when they were out on a date, and when they refused, she reportedly started scolding them. You can hear the woman threatening Kylie Kelce, saying they “will never be allowed in this town again.”

Kylie Kelce responded, “You have alcohol on your breath,” Kylie can be heard saying, rather coolly, on the video. “You’re embarrassing yourself.”

The eight-second video then ends as Kylie and the photo-seeker are separated.

Hugh E. Dillon, the creator of the blog Philly ChitChat, stated Jason and Kylie walked into the restaurant and “enjoyed their night.”

Now, Margate Mayor Michael Collins issued a formal apology to the couple with the offer of a redo.

Margate City Mayor City Michael Collins offered the Kelces a free dinner on him to make up for their experience.

“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Collins wrote in a statement on Facebook. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”

Neither Kylie nor Jason Kelce has commented publicly on the incident or Mayor Collins’ apology.

The Kelces spent Memorial Day weekend at the seaside; they are well-known for their love of Sea Isle City. The former Philadelphia Eagles great, who recently retired, has frequently served as a charity guest bartender at Ocean Drive. According to Jason Kelce, he will once more serve as a guest bartender at the OD on June 26.

A shocking new video shows an angry and obnoxious fan harassing Kylie Kelce following a dinner date with her husband, Jason Kelce, in Sea Isle City, New Jersey.

In a video posted by the “Word to the Wise” podcast on Instagram, an angry woman is seen screaming at Kylie Kelce for refusing to take a picture while she was out to dinner with Jason Kelce.

Word to the Wise heard that Kylie Kelce “politely” declined the fan’s request for a picture. Witnesses informed WTTW that the Kylie and Jason “did nothing wrong and” acted politely during the ordeal.

Here’s the video:

It’s natural for fans to ask a celebrity for a picture and/or autograph when they spot them in public. But harassing and berating the couple while they’re trying to enjoy a casual night out isn’t cool whatsoever, and it’s another tough reminder of what celebrities like the Kelce couple must prepare for whenever they’re seen in public.

But Kylie and Jason Kelce deserve tremendous credit for keeping their composure and acting calm while the fan embarrassed herself. Here is hoping she’ll learn from it, and that the Kelces don’t encounter unnecessary rudeness going forward.

Jason Kelce Is Headed To ESPN Following Legendary Playing Career

After an illustrious 13-year run with the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce decided to retire from football and transition into an analyst role.

After retiring, the future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and Super Bowl 52 champion accepted an offer from ESPN to work on their “Monday Night Countdown” pre-game show, replacing Robert Griffin III in that spot.

Kelce joins a long list of recently retired NFL greats who made the move to television after hanging up the cleats. The likes of JJ Watt, Eli Manning and Richard Sherman have found success behind the camera, with seven-time Super Bowl champion also set to commence his analyst career with the “NFL on FOX” this fall.
