In a day where NETFLIX has been more in sync than ever with the NFL, positive news for sports fans continues. Following the announcement of two big games on Christmas Day, one featuring the reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the other showcasing the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans, two teams that are likely to be fighting for top positions in the AFC.

Adding to that excitement, NETFLIX has announced a 10-episode documentary about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, produced in collaboration with SkyDance Sports and NFL Films.

Jones, who bought the team for a modest $150 million in 1989, now owns the world’s most valuable sports team, valued at around $9 billion. It truly has been a good business for Jones.

Without a doubt, the Cowboys don’t have any problems financially, but in sports term, it doesn’t seem like the so called “America’s Team” will return to a Super Bowl anytime soon, let alone win one, but just to play in it.

Given the struggles in the almost last 30 years I think the series will be more about their success in the early years when he bought the team and won three super bowls added with some untold story’s from Jones personal life rather than their recent failures.

The series promises to explore Jones and the Cowboys through “never-before-seen footage and interviews,” including appearances by their 90’s legends Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, and Deion Sanders. Former Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson will also be featured, in addition to other notable personalities such as former President George W. Bush, a well-known supporter of the Cowboys, and Phil Knight, the founder of Nike.

NETFLIX has been diving deep into the sports world, as well put by Mr. Jones “There are a lot of people with money, but not with the passion to really go spend it,” Netflix is certainly spending it. In addition to the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, Netflix will now have two NFL games, no less, on Christmas Day, and the series about the 2014 Executive of the Year, Jerry Jones.
