As the saga of Kansas City Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice unfolds, he was able to unwind and enjoy himself on Thursday night.

After the Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up minicamp on Thursday morning, everybody got dressed and headed to a private ceremony to receive their Super Bowl 58 rings.

Star wide receiver Rashee Rice, as well as many others, received their Super Bowl LVIII championship rings at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Footage surfaced of Rice having a good time after receiving his ring.

Amid his celebration, fans online made sure he did not forget what he did this offseason and that he should be jailed for his actions.

Rice is still facing multiple charges related to his high-speed car crash in March that left people injured. He faces a total of eight criminal charges stemming from a high-speed hit-and-run crash that occurred in Dallas, where he was caught on camera racing, crashing, and then fleeing the scene with others. He also faces a civil lawsuit related to the crash.

On top of that, Rashee Rice was also under investigation by Dallas police for an alleged assault in which a Dallas nightclub guest suffered non-life-threatening injuries. However, the victim of that alleged assault requested not to pursue charges, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero previously reported.

The second-round pick out of SMU racked up 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns in his first season in the league, per ESPN.com.

Rashee Rice Finally Broke His Silence on Offseason Troubles

Rashee Rice faces possible suspension from the league stemming from the eight criminal charges he racked up from a high-speed hit-and-run crash that occurred in Dallas in March.

A possible assault charge followed, but the alleged victim changed his mind.

The Kansas City Chiefs second-year wide receiver finally broke his silence when he vowed to “mature.”

“I’ve learned so much from [the offseason troubles],” Rice said via PJ Green of FOX 4 Kansas City. “All I can do is mature and continue to grow from that. This is a step in a better direction for me.

“Accidents and stuff like that happen, but all you can do is move forward and walk around being the same person, try to be positive so that everybody can feel your love and your great energy.”

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has addressed his offseason legal issues for the first time.

In March, Rashee Rice was involved in a six-car accident in Dallas, Texas that left four people injured. Two people were hospitalized to have their injuries treated but released soon afterward.

According to authorities, Rice was traveling 119 MPH in a Lamborghini that he had leased before the crash. The second-year wide receiver was arrested and hit with eight charges that included six counts of collision causing bodily injury.

While talking to reporters on Saturday, Rashee Rice emphasized that he’s learned a lot and promises to become more “mature” following the incident, via ESPN:

“I’ve learned so much from that,” he said. “All I can do is mature and continue to grow from that. This is a step in a better direction for me…Accidents and stuff like that happen, but all you can do is move forward and walk around being the same person, try to be positive so that everybody can feel your love and your great energy.”

Police are still investigating allegations from a photographer that he was assaulted by Rice at a Dallas nightclub last month. The photographer ultimately decided not to press charges against him

It has been widely reported that Rashee Rice will likely face a suspension from the NFL. GM Brett Veach addressed the WR position this offseason by signing former 1,000-yard receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to a one-year deal before using his first-round pick on Texas speedster Xavier Worthy.

Chiefs Will Give Rashee Rice A Second Chance

Many wondered if the Chiefs would decide to cut ties with Rice following his offseason issues. The additions of Brown and Worthy provided Veach with valuable WR insurance in the event that the Chiefs moved on from the second-year wideout.

But Patrick Mahomes has emphasized that they believe in Rice and know that he can learn from the mistakes. Rice is apologetic and promises to learn from the mishaps, so it’s easy to understand why KC wants to give him another opportunity.

Rice played a pivotal role in helping Kansas City repeat as Super Bowl champions this past season. Their quest to a three-peat will begin on Sept. 5 when Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens come to town.
