The Kansas City Chiefs kicked off their rookie minicamp on Saturday, giving first-year players their first chance to make an impression on Andy Reid’s coaching staff.
All of the Chiefs’ picks from the 2024 NFL draft are in attendance, joining a few veterans and a bevy of undrafted rookies who are looking to get their foot in the door for a chance to play for the defending Super Bowl champions.
While most of the players at rookie minicamp are long shots to make Kansas City’s roster, the workouts they’ll go through this weekend will be a crucial part of their first year in the NFL.
Some familiar faces will take the field at minicamp, but the overwhelming majority of players in attendance were undrafted rookies who will have to give their all during practice for a chance to catch on with the Chiefs.
