Bill Belichick forgets about Jordon Hudson and makes an announcement about his NFL future

The NFL is never far from Bill Belichick‘s mind. Belichick will be in an unusual place this season following his departure from the New England Patriots — the team he led to six Super Bowl titles in 24 seasons — and since his relationship with 24-year-old former cheerleader Jordon Hudson went public last month.

But Belichick, 72, can’t stay too removed from football despite his intensifying relationship with Hudson. This coming season, the legendary head coach is set to lend his expertise to one of the most iconic TV shows dedicated to NFL coverage — and only time will tell as to how it will impact his romance with Hudson.

Belichick to join an iconic program

It was announced Thursday that Belichick will join a star-studded lineup of analysts this season on “Inside the NFL,” the legendary weekly NFL show that last year found a new home on The CW and streaming on Netflix in the United States.

Belichick joins former NFL stars Ryan Clark, Chad Johnson, and Chris Long on the program, which debuted in 1977. Belichick, one of the winningest head coaches in league history, will step in for former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler on the show — Cutler will not be returning for 2024.

Johnson, a former star receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, seemed particularly excited for Belichick’s arrival on “Inside the NFL.” He took to X/Twitter and posted the word “iconic” in response to the league’s announcement.

In a statement, Belichick himself said he is “thrilled” to join NFL Films (which runs “Inside the NFL”) in this capacity, and that he hopes to bring “detailed insight” when talking football with “real pros” in Clark, Johnson, and Long.
