One of Aaron Rodgers’ former teammates has given a significant update on the quarterback’s whereabouts following his absence from New York Jets mandatory minicamp.
Aaron Rodgers has found plenty of ways to make headlines this offseason, some of it unrelated to football. His absence from mandatory minicamp was, of course, football-related and awfully baffling to the Jets community.
Head coach Robert Saleh tried easing things for Jets fans by telling reporters that he and Rodgers were “on the exact same page” during the four-time MVP’s absence from minicamp, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Well, the unsolved mystery of Rodgers’ absence has finally been cleared up. And the source was a rather unlikely one: His former Green Bay Packers teammate and current Buffalo Bills wideout, Marques Valdes-Scantling.
Speaking to Jason McIntyre on “The Herd”, Valdes-Scantling revealed that he did a training session with Rodgers in Los Angeles. MVS and McIntyre confirmed that the future Hall of Famer is back in the United States following a vacation in Egpyt:
Aaron Rodgers is back in USA 🇺🇸
MVS confirmed to
@jasonrmcintyre at @TheHerd that he ran some routes with @AaronRodgers12in a high school in LAAnd for those wondering where was Rodgers, he was at Egypt 🇪🇬 @RichCimini was the first in implying #JetUp #Jets pic.twitter.com/dzcdAlUUlP

So there you have it, Jets fans. Aaron Rodgers is back home and will (presumably) get back to football business with training camp approaching.
Rodgers missed all but a few snaps in his first season with the Jets, having unfortunately suffered a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. But the 40-year-old is recovered and will be good to go come Week 1, when the Jets visit the San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football” to kick off the season.
Aaron Rodgers & Jets Should Emerge As Contenders In 2024
Douglas also signed former Los Angeles Chargers star wide receiver Mike Williams, giving Rodgers another playmaking weapon to complement Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.
Throw in the Jets’ stingy and borderline top-10 defense, and you have a team that has all the makings for a Super Bowl contender heading into 2024.

Popular show host Pat McAfee has made a curious revelation regarding New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers, who is heading into his second season with the Jets, will hope he can actually be out on the field in 2024 after being sidelined for the entirety of the 2023 campaign with a torn Achilles.
Fans were naturally worried when a video surfaced online showing the veteran quarterback sitting down while taking a shoe and sock off his right foot. But, according to Pat McAfee, who cited a source during ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ Rodgers was simply trying to avoid blisters and is possibly dealing with the lingering effects of “COVID toe.”
Check it out in the video below:
Aaron Rodgers Has Some History With COVID Toe
Aaron Rodgers, who claimed to be “immunized” during the pandemic, tested positive for COVID-19 in 2021. He denied he had COVID toe while speaking to reporters about a toe fracture.

“I mentioned yesterday that it’s worse than turf toe and it must be a bone issue — I can’t believe I have to come on here and talk about my medical information — but yeah, I have a fractured toe,” he said back then.
“I’ve never had a Covid toe before. I have no lesions on my feet. It’s just a classic case of disinformation.”
Said disinformation started with him, however.
“I felt good in just a few days,” he told McAfee prior to his interview with reporters. “I didn’t have any lingering effects other than Covid toe.”
In case you’re wondering what COVID toe is, it’s a term used to describe the swelling, pain, and discoloration in the foot of a COVID-19 patient.
