Taylor Swift fans encouraged to wear nappies for upcoming UK Eras Tour

It’s been a long wait for fans, but those lucky enough to bag tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour will finally get to see her perform in the flesh from this weekend.

The singer-songwriter is set to play three shows in Edinburgh this weekend (June 7, 8 and 9) followed by three consecutive shows at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on June 13, 14 and 15.

But as fans search for what to take with them to the gigs, there’s quite a bizarre item at the top of some of the checklists – and that’s a nappy.

With fans not wanting to miss a moment of the three-hour set, it’s being hailed a must-have item to avoid those inevitable toilet trips.

One such checklist, on the betches.com website, states: “Considering people are literally shelling out their entire life savings to snag a seat on the tour, it’s only fair that you get a little behind-the-scenes look at what you really should be bringing with you. So, here it is – the ideal Era’s checklist.

“An Era’s inspired outfit that includes a diaper. Before you shake your head, you’re not going to leave in the middle of “All Too Well (10-Minute Version)” even if you’re about to p**s yourself.”

The advice won’t come as a surprise to Swifties though. Ahead of previous legs of the tour in America and Australia, fans were sharing their intention to wear ‘a diaper’ or a nappy, some even sharing photos of themselves getting ready to put one on under their glam outfits.

“I’m not going to miss any of this woman’s songs to go to the bathroom, because there are none that I can sacrifice,” one of her fans, Eira, shared through a TikTok video that’s accumulated thousands of views.

With a setlist of 44 songs and a running time of more than three hours, it’s quite a wait for those who don’t take a trip to the loo.

Some concert-goers have joked that ‘Shake It Off’ would be the ideal toilet break song for those who simply can’t wait and don’t decide to follow the checklist advice.

Other items on the list include a clear poncho, a portable charger and a claw clip for that sweaty hair.

If you’re still holding out hope of getting to the tour, there is still a chance to bag some tickets. Fans who can’t attend the shows may resell their tickets before the All Too Well singer takes to the stage, as the Irish Mirror reports.

Ticketmaster has officially activated resale for the stadium concerts, however ticket transfer will not be made available until much closer to the date of the shows. Once it goes live, tickets will likely be snapped up very quickly. But fans can keep an eye on Ticketmaster, here, for lucky official resale tickets. For those desperate to see the concert, another option is to consider ticket resale websites.

Viagogo is selling Eras Tour tickets for the shows across the UK and Europe, and we have found a way to get tickets for £263 each. If you’re willing to travel, fans can snag tickets this moment to many other venues.

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk. With that said, Viagogo also commented: “Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee.”

As well as Liverpool, the 34-year-old is bringing the concert to Edinburgh, Cardiff and London, as well as in Irish and European venues in Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna.

We have scoured the internet for tickets to some of these venues and the cheapest we’ve found is Gelsenkirchen in Germany, for a reasonable £263 (at the time of writing). Considering tickets for Liverpool ranged from £297 to £784, this isn’t a bad deal.v

These tickets are available from Viagogo and you can click here to check them out. Plane tickets to Dusseldorf, the nearest airport to Gelsenkirchen, from Manchester during the week of the concert can be bought from £116, according to Skyscanner. You can check them out here.
