Receiver’s George and Claire Kittle Popularly Known for talking sh*t about Tayvis Romance Share Relationship RULE for “No Break Up” for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift During NFL Season: “Another piece of advice no one asked for, especially when using their names to bring in clout to their doc”
The San Francisco 49ers tight end and his wife have been together since 2012, and Kittle and Kelce faced off in Super Bowl LVIII in February.
George and Claire Kittle have some wisdom to help fellow NFL couple Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift take their love to new heights.
While speaking to PEOPLE ahead of Netflix’s Receiver premiere, the 49ers tight end and his wife agreed that the hallmarks of a good relationship — especially when trying to juggle the fame and fast-paced schedule of the NFL — boil down to two simple things.
“Talk as much as you possibly can. Communicate!” says George, whose wife of five years echoes his sentiment.
“The biggest thing is communication,” Claire agrees.
Beyond staying in close contact, the Kittles have implemented their own practice at the end of every day that they think might be beneficial for couples like Swift and Kelce.
“Something that Claire thought was a great idea that we’ve been doing for a long time is every night before you go to bed, make sure you tell each other ‘I love you’ before you go to sleep,” says George.
“And I think it’s just good no matter if you guys had an argument or are upset with each other, just to tell the person that. It’s just a good way to end the day,” he adds.
“That is what I would say!” Claire quips. “Good job.”
Kelce and Swift have seemingly mastered making their busy and often near-conflicting schedules work (Swift famously flew straight from her Eras shows in Tokyo to Las Vegas to support Kelce in Super Bowl LVIII in February, and Kelce has been a fixture at many of her concerts in return).
For Claire the “WAG” life means an increase in “eyeballs” given the massive platform the NFL has, but no matter “the chaos of the world,” being able to come back to a solid relationship makes all the difference, she adds.
“With everything that’s going on in each of our lives, you just say ‘I love you’ and it’s a nice little reset,” she says. “And then you wake up in the morning and wherever the world takes you, you know that.”
