The Kansas City Chiefs are ready for a new season.

The NFL gave football fans everywhere a huge heads up on the 2024 schedule, revealing the season-opening game early.

And it’s a big one.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid and the defending Super Bowl champions are set to face reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5 in Kansas City.

Taylor Swift could also return to Arrowhead Stadium, where she was a constant presence with her boyfriend, Kelce.

The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime in Las Vegas.

To achieve that historic win, Kansas City first had to hold off Jackson and the Ravens 17-10 in a tough AFC Championship game.

Fans are already predicting that the Chiefs will become the first three-peat team in NFL history.

Jackson is trying to reach his first Super Bowl with the Ravens.

It was tense and charged the last time that Mahomes and Jackson met on Jan. 28 at Baltimore.

A visibly irritated Kelce kicked Tucker’s helmet and a ball away near the end zone, prior to a Super Bowl spot for the Chiefs.

The teams also got into it near the sideline before kickoff, with a punch being thrown.

“I asked him (Tucker) to move his stuff,” Mahomes told 610 Sports Radio. “He got up and moved it, I think, two inches but didn’t move it out of the way. I was gonna let it slide, but Travis got in and moved it for me.”

Kansas City believed that the Baltimore kicker tried to get under the team’s skin and mentally affect it.

The small acts obviously didn’t work, as the Chiefs ended the Ravens’ season and knocked Jackson out of the playoffs.

“I have a lot of respect for him (Tucker) as a player, one of the best kickers of all time, probably the best kicker of all time,” Mahomes said. “But at the same time, you’ve got to have respect for each team, and we all share the field, and we try to do that in a respectful way.”

Mahomes torched the Ravens, completing 30-of-39 passes for 241 yards, one touchdown and a 100.5 rating.

NFL fans are already fired up to watch the Ravens and Chiefs meet again
Now, the rivals are set to meet again as the NFL begins another huge season in just four months.

“They’re gonna have to watch them raise the banner, that’s crazy,” one fan tweeted.

“Starting off the season the right way!” a second fan posted.

“Wish the season started tomorrow,” a third fan said.

Kelce was also sharp in the AFC Championship, catching a game-high 11 balls for 116 yards and highlight-reel TD.

While Tucker did hit his only field goal, a 43-yard attempt, the Ravens’ kicker messed with the wrong stars at the wrong time.

His pregame actions only further fired up the Chiefs, who created a dynasty in Las Vegas and now get another shot at the Ravens to kick off the 2024 campaign.
