Joe Rogan Points Out American’s Hypocrisy Over Demand For Brittney Griner’s Release

As many people are well aware of, there are many states in this country where the alleged crime Brittney Griner committed is not even considered as such. However, there are still over 350,000 people in the country who got even tougher sentences than the 9 years she got in Russia for drug possession and smuggling.

The fact that thousands of Americans are currently serving time in prisons all throughout the country for nothing more serious than smoking marijuana in public is even more absurd.

As a weed smoker himself, Joe Rogan spoke to fellow comedian Andrew Schulz about the Brittney Griner case. He not only defended her but also pointed out the blatant hypocrisy from many Americans who defend her and not the people arrested in their country for the same thing.

“She’s [Griner] already been over there for months.

“But here’s what’s important: People are freaking out about this, right? They’re freaking out. ‘Russia needs to let her go.’ We have people in America right now locked up for marijuana, and they’ve been locked up for fucking years – for years and years and years. There’s not one, there’s thousands of them. So what, they’re not good at throwing a ball into a net? Is that what it is? They’re not good at that one thing that we like to watch, so those fucking people don’t get let out?”

Joe Rogan is 100% correct when he makes this observation. Brittney Griner must return home, but Americans who experience even worse outcomes for the same “crime” also deserve justice.
