It looks like Caitlin Clark’s WNBA head coach, Christie Sides, has lost the locker room.

The Indiana Fever dropped to 1-7 on the season following Tuesday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. But more troubling than their record is the behavior behind the scenes.

You now have one of the Indiana Fever’s players calling out their head coach on social media.

NaLyssa Smith, a 23-year-old forward and the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, is not happy. She liked the following post on X this week:

It’s never easy going through a rebuild and, most of the time, the head coach at the start of the rebuild isn’t the one who gets to finish the job.

WNBA fans can sense what’s coming.

“Sides has to GO,” one fan wrote.

“yea its a wrap,” one fan added.

“Sides should have her starting. She needs to figure out this lineup but Lys is too talented,” one fan added.

“Sides days are numbered,” another fan added.

Caitlin Clark has been playing well, scoring 30 points on Tuesday night, so the Indiana Fever are probably going to ride things out with Sides – at least for a while.

But her days are numbered.
