In his 21-year career, LeBron James achieved almost everything apart from the Slam Dunk contest award. But on Monday, he gave a glimpse of what it’d be like to see LeBron in a dunk contest.

In a Los Angeles gym, LeBron James was engaged in a mini-dunk battle with Obi Toppin of the Pacers. Toppin, incidentally, is a Slam Dunk contest winner in 2022. After a series of tough dunks, LeBron was heard saying, “too old for this.”

While there was no clear winner or announcement of it, the video soon garnered attention on social media. Seeing their King in action, LeBron’s fans were quick to jump in to comment about his innovative moves.

Social Media Reacts to LeBron James’ Dunking Skills

The footage of LeBron James dunking reached every corner of social media circles after NBA Central posted it on X (formerly known as Twitter). The NBA community was surprised to see his moves and went gaga over the clip.

“It s**ks that LeBron never participated in a Dunk Contest, he should’ve multiple times” wrote a fan under the post.

Another astonished fan commented, “40 years old and doing a dunk contest with obi toppin is crazy asl”.

“Toppin really leaps so high! Too easy for him…

LBJ still can dunk at his age, but, should have joined the dunk contest during his prime”, added someone.

“Lebron really move like he 28 still”, claimed one fan.

While some people was amazed to see his moves even at the age of 39 and commented, “Wow, Lebron still in a great shape”.

It can very well be assumed that LBJ is diligently preparing himself for the upcoming venture. It is quite obvious that the 20-time All-Star will most likely suit up in the USA jersey for his last dance on the big stage.

The 39-year-old is one of the stars who will represent the USA men’s basketball team in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The lineup will have both LeBron and Stephen Curry for the first time. The two veterans showcasing their exceptional abilities would certainly excite basketball enthusiasts.
