Reese looked stunning in a turquoise 16Arlington dress by Marco Capaldo.

The floor-length dress featured a plunging V-neck lined with sequins and a feather-covered tutu-esque skirt.

Flowing to the floor was a sheer fabric adorned with an embroidered pattern.

Styled by Naomi Elizée, Reese’s outfit included simple stud earrings and a selection of silver rings, as per Marie Claire.

She completed the look with a sleek pair of custom ice-blue Stuart Weitzman heels.

“I’m just excited to see everyone’s outfits,” Reese told WWD.

“Everyone looks amazing here so I’m just excited. I’ve always dreamed of this moment.”

The seventh overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft later added that she felt she looked “amazing,” adding, “I feel beautiful, and I feel sexy.”

And it appears Reese’s fans agreed, flocking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to heap praise on the forward.

“Wow she is a superstar! Gorgeous Reese!” one comment read.

“That’s a true Barbie for real! Have fun Angel,” a second said in reference to Reese’s nickname, ‘Bayou Barbie.’

“Chicago Sky legend in the making,” replied another.

While a fourth said Reese was “Killing it as usual.”

Reese’s appearance at the Gala came just a day before her second preseason game with the Sky.

They are slated to play the New York Liberty at the Wintrust Arena at 8pm ET on Tuesday.

This follows Chicago’s 92-81 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Friday in their preseason opener.

Reese finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, and one assist on the night.

The arrivals of Reese, Caitlin Clark, and numerous other high-profile college stars in the recent Draft have resulted in a surge in popularity for the WNBA.

How the WNBA works

THE 2024 WNBA season features 12 teams with the regular-season running from May 14 to September 9.

Each team plays 40 regular-season games – four against five teams from the same conference and two teams from the other conference, and three games against the remaining four teams.

The top eight teams in the league standings qualify for the playoffs – regardless of what conference they’re in.

The playoffs will use a best-of-three format in the first round while the semifinals and WNBA Finals are best of five.

This season also includes a month-long break for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Las Vegas Aces are defending back-to-back WNBA champions.

In fact, after the league failed to stream the Sky’s game via their app as advertised, a fan’s live stream from the stands subsequently went viral.

As of Monday evening, the almost two-hour video had been streamed almost 620,000 times, while the post had been viewed on 2.5 million occasions.

The league later issued an apology on X for their miscommunication, clarifying that only the Indiana Fever’s game against the Dallas Wings was available to watch for free via their app.
