Nike is once again under fire for the design of uniforms, but this time from Olympic athletes ahead of the 2024 Summer Games.

Current and former athletes have harshly criticized the USA women’s Olympic track and field team’s Nike-designed uniforms, claiming that the clothes have sexist undertones and an unnecessary skimpy design that has angered women everywhere, even on competing Olympic teams.

The women’s one-piece speed suit has been slammed for being too “revealing,” and one look at it and you see why so many people are upset with the design.

The men’s design was shorts that hit the mannequin’s mid-thigh. The women’s design, however, seemingly lacks material in the crouch area, and some women may find themselves very uncomfortable and exposed to certain camera angles.

“This is clearly a joke,” Femita Ayanbeku, a two-time Paralympian, wrote in a comment under an Instagram post about the uniforms. “I’m someone’s mom, I can’t be exposing myself in such ways. Where are the shorts?!”

Here is how some fans reacted to the threads from Nike, as many pointed out the design could be overexposing the private parts of female athletes while at the Olympics:

Nike Was Already In Hot Water For MLB Uniforms Amid Backlash With Olympics Threads

The rollout of Nike’s and Fanatics’ new MLB uniforms has been downright terrible as pants have been shown to be see-through, and player names on jerseys are so much smaller that it gives the jerseys a cheap look.

Players spent the exhibition season criticizing how the nameplates looked and how the pants fit, and so far, nothing has changed.

That does not bode well for the Olympics as women and fans are also in an uproar over the design that will overly expose the ladies’ private parts while the men get to be comfortable.
