ELLEN DeGeneres has announced the show dates of her final stand-up tour after her daytime talk show was canceled.
The comedian promised to “talk about it,” implying she would address the controversy surrounding The Ellen Show’s alleged toxic work environment in the hour.

On Wednesday, Ellen, 66, shared an event flyer showcasing the stops for her upcoming stand-up tour in an Instagram post.
It was captioned, “Here it is! These are the cities and dates for my final stand-up tour. Pre-sale starts tomorrow May 30th at 10am local time with code CHICKEN. Get your tickets at ellenshop.com/tour.”
The summer comedy tour, Ellen’s Last Stand… Up, will include 26 dates around the U.S. and one in Canada.
The tour dates will be the “last opportunity” to witness DeGeneres in her “final curtain call” and will “reintroduce her trademark wit and laughter-inducing anecdotes” to live audiences, revealed People.
Earlier this month, the outlet revealed that Ellen’s upcoming Netflix special, set to be recorded during her August 16 and 17 Minneapolis dates, would be her last.
Around the same time, the former talk show host posted the Deadline article announcing her comeback comedy tour on Instagram.
In the caption, she teased, “Here we go! To answer the questions everyone is asking me – Yes, I’m going to talk about it. Yes this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life.”
In July 2020, BuzzFeed News reported a series of toxic workplace allegations leveled at the longtime host, which included penalization for taking medical leave, instances of racial microaggressions, and a fear of punishment for raising complaints.
Ellen addressed the claims in September 2020, during her Season 18 opening monologue.
During the speech, the Ellen host stated, “As you may have heard, this summer, there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show, and then there was an investigation.
“I learned that things happened here that never should have happened.”
She continued, “I take that very seriously and I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected.”
Later Ellen mentioned, “There were also articles in the press and on social media that said, I am not who I appear to be on TV because I became known as the Be Kind lady.”
She explained, “Being known as the Be Kind lady is a tricky position to be in… the truth is, I am that person that you see on TV. I am also a lot of other things.

“Sometimes I get sad. I get mad. I get anxious. I get frustrated. I get impatient, and I am working on all of that. I am a work in progress.”
Ellen then quipped, “I’m especially working on the impatience thing, and it’s not going well because it’s not going fast enough.”
“This is me,” she continued before adding, “and my intention is to always be the best person I can be. And if I’ve ever let someone down, if I’ve ever hurt their feelings, I am so sorry for that.
Ellen’s talk show ended in 2022 after 19 seasons.
Before it concluded she told The Hollywood Reporter that the workplace controversy did not factor in her decision to conclude the long-running series.
BACK AT IT
Earlier this year, Ellen performed at Largo at the Coronet Theater in Los Angeles and shared a clip of the event on her social media.
The Finding Dory actor teased that fans would soon get to see the show and hear her new comedy following the end of her talk show.
To answer the questions everyone is asking me – Yes, I’m going to talk about it. Yes this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life.”
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen announced she’d return to the venue before taking her show on the road for Ellen’s Last Stand… Up Tour.
During her routine, Ellen explained how she felt going from the host that everyone deemed the kindest to someone people despised.
“I used to say that I didn’t care what other people thought of me, and I realized I said that at the height of my popularity,” Ellen told the crowd, according to Rolling Stone.
She continued, “It is such a waste of time to worry about what other people think.
“Right now I’m hoping you’re thinking, ‘This is marvelous, I’m so happy to be here.’
“But you could be thinking, ‘Let’s see how this goes,'” the comedian confessed.
OPENING UP
Ellen told fans that since the controversial end of her talk show in 2022, she’s been wearing a lot of sweatpants and doing a lot of gardening.
“The ‘Be Kind’ girl wasn’t kind,” the 66-year-old continued while reminiscing about her scandal.

“I became this one-dimensional character who gave stuff away and danced up steps.
“Do you know how hard it is to dance up steps,” she joked.
“Would a mean person dance up steps? Had I ended my show by saying, ‘Go f**k yourself,’ people would’ve been pleasantly surprised.”
Ellen said the ordeal damaged her “ego and self-esteem.”
“There’s such extremes in this business, people either love you and idolize you or they hate you, and those people somehow are louder,” she explained.
Later in the show, Ellen took questions from fans in the crowd.
During this segment, she admitted that while she was “making jokes” about all that happened the situation “was devastating.”
“It took a long time for me to want to do anything again,” she admitted.
