The 2024 NBA Draft has concluded with several excellent picks from various NBA teams. Bronny James, a former guard for the USC Trojans, was chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 55th overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft.

The extensive speculation surrounding Bronny has finally come to an end following his selection by the Lakers, where his father, LeBron James, is a star player. However, many NBA analyst and fans were waiting for this moment to give their reactions, with some praising the Lakers’ decision and some criticizing it.

Rachel Nichols, an American journalist and sportscaster, recently shared her opinion on Bronny James’ selection by the Lakers. She criticized the former USC Trojans guard and made bold claims about him. She believes Bronny will never be a star player like his dad, LeBron James, due to his size and playing style.

“Will he ever be a star? I don’t think so. It does not seem like just his size and some of the other things about the way he plays, I don’t think he’s a future star player.” Nichols said during the recent episode of the show ‘Undisputed.’

LeBron James Claps Back at Nichols’s Statement with a Twist

However, LeBron James didn’t ignore Nichols’s statement and responded in a different way. According to a recent post on the social media profile ‘NBA Alert’ (formerly known as Twitter), King James unfollowed Nichols after her prediction about his son Bronny.

“LeBron James (King James) is no longer following Rachel Nichols.” The recent post of NBA Alert.

Nichols isn’t the only one criticizing Bronny’s selection by the Lakers; some NBA fans are also questioning the decision. Because Bronny is LeBron James’ son, NBA fans are accusing the former USC Trojans guard of being recruited through nepotism after he was drafted by the Lakers.
