Iman Shumpert Flames LeBron James, Says He “Knows He Ruined Basketball” (VIDEO)

Iman Shumpert does not like the direction of the National Basketball Association an d he is placing that blame on one man’s shoulders.

During a recent appearance on the Bootleg Kev podcast, the former Cleveland Cavs guard admitted he believes LeBron James ruined basketball.

After the host suggested that Kevin Durant ruined basketball by jumping from OKC to Golden State after getting eliminated by them the month prior, Shumpert responded that LeBron was the one who did it first.

It was not KD. It was LeBron first going to Miami, Shumpert explained. Adding, [LeBron] knows he ruined basketball.

He thought he was making it better, Shump continued. I get it. Me personally, I love the NBA for the loyalty that I thought was there. He basically knocked the fourth wall down.

It should be noted that Shumpert won a ring with the Cavaliers in 2016.

A Twitter user pointed out that LeBron tried to bring stars to Cleveland, but nobody would come.

I totally get it, Shumpert responded.

Which is why I said his decision worked. [LeBron] is smart for it I just said I liked the other version of the league better.

That Cleveland squad earned one of the most iconic titles in NBA history by erasing a 3-1 deficit in the 2016 NBA Finals to beat the Golden State Warriors.
