Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes quietly gave his take on the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.

As the world has seen, the 78-year-old was on stage speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a 20-year-old gunman somehow got onto a roof and was able to open fire and shoot multiple rounds at the politician.

One person in the crowd ended up dying, while Trump managed to escape with a wound to his ear. He would be taken to the hospital and discharged the same day.

Despite what some may feel about him, many people, including Barack Obama, Joe Biden, his current presidential rival, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, expressed their relief at his survival of the incident.

Patrick Mahomes reposted a message that was originally sent out by NFL Network host Rich Eisen.

“Thank you to the heroes of the Secret Service who threw themselves into what appeared to be a hail of bullets,” Eisen wrote. “Find whoever did this and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. None of this is OK. Praying for everyone there in Butler, PA.”

Following the shooting incident, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung released a statement via the Associated Press: “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” he began. “[Trump] is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

Patrick Mahomes Plans to Stay Out of Presidential Race

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has previously declined to weigh in on this year’s presidential race.

Instead of lending his voice, he urged voters to do their own research before the election.

“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” Mahomes said in an interview with Time magazine.

“I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”

Mahomes was being interviewed by Time as part of its 100 Most Influential People of 2024 series.

The Chiefs were just coming off a victory against the San Francisco 49ers in this year’s Super Bowl as he once again earned the Most Valuable Player award for the third time.

Patrick Mahomes is known for getting the job done on the field of play, but that is not the only place where he knows how to deliver the right passes for a score.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are pregnant with their third child, according to a new Instagram reel from the couple.

The couple posted the news Friday, showing a video of their kids holding a strip of ultrasound photos.

They captioned the post, “Round three, here we come” with a heart emoji.

The couple looked great; they were stunned in all-white outfits, and Brittany showed off her growing stomach in a skintight dress. They have not stated how far along Brittany is or share the sex of their third child.

After the announcement, fans took to social media to comment on how this would be Patrick Mahomes’ third child as he tries to make history with a possible three-peat.

Patrick and Brittany welcomed their first child, Sterling, in February 2021 and their second, Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III, in November 2022.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback proposed to Brittany in September 2020, but due to the pandemic, they would wait two years to get married in Hawaii.

The Kansas City Current co-owner and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback are both 28.
