The Knicks lost Julius Randle for the season when he injured his shoulder in January. Due to surgery, the forward could only watch his team play in the NBA Playoffs. After the Eastern Conference Semifinals loss to the Pacers, the Knicks and Randle can focus on the long offseason ahead.

On Monday, Julius Randle used some of his spare time to visit the New York Stock Exchange. Along with his wife, Kendra Randle, and Skechers, he visited Wall Street to ring the opening bell.

The occasion was Skechers’ 25th anniversary, the shoe brand Randle signed with in 2023. Since his Kentucky days, Randle has been a Nike guy, but now he’s on board with Skechers, which led to him and his wife attending the NY establishment.

Following the Knicks’ elimination, there is considerable smoke around Randle’s future with the franchise, but his mind is set.

Julius Randle wants to stay with the Knicks

Since his move to the Knicks in 2019, Randle has been selected as an NBA All-Star on three occasions. Hence, it is only natural for him to want to stay in New York.

During a recent visit to the Empire State Building, Randle discussed his future. “Yeah, I’ve always said from the very beginning I would love to be here in New York and I would love to continue to add on to what the guys did in the playoffs,” said the 29-year-old.

He further added, “So really, that’s what my focus is, doing whatever I can to make sure I get healthy and get back and make sure I’m ready whenever we start playing again and contribute to winning. That’s really all my focus is and that stuff always in my career has taken care of itself.” Before his season-ending injury, Randle was averaging 24 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5 assists. Had he stayed injury free, things could’ve gone differently in the playoffs as Jalen Brunson was the sole man pulling the numbers.

Randle will enter his final year on a $117,089,280 contract, with a player option in 2025. Given there’s no significant movement regarding his contract situation, the Knicks just might wait to see how his recovery goes and how he performs following the injury break.

The 2024 NBA playoffs saw the breakthrough of a superstar in Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards. The 22-year-old guard took the postseason by storm after monstrous performances against the Suns and the Nuggets. Despite his brilliance, the Minnesota side failed to clinch an NBA Finals spot, falling to the Mavs in the WCF.

After the playoffs, Ant-Man took shots at multiple of his critics through an Adidas ad promoting his new shoe line. Among those who faced the blunt of the force of Anthony Edwards’ diss was rapper Cam’ron, who has now taken weapons in arms to counter. In a latest diss track, Cam’ron rhymed, “F**k wrong with Ant man? Gave him his props, homie got love from me. New commercial, y’all ain’t got love for me?”

In the commercial, Anthony Edwards was keeping receipts for his critics. Carmelo Anthony’s quote was mentioned in it, and so was Cam’ron, who said that Edwards is an All-Star but not a superstar yet. This led to the Timberwolves man saying, “F**k buddy.”

Adidas recently launched Anthony Edwards’ signature shoe line, AE 1, which has taken over the market with its slick design. But for Edwards to take a shot at Cam’ron was not something the rapper expected after giving him his props. He knows exactly who to blame for this situation between him and Edwards as he opens up about the ongoing fiasco.

Cam’ron blames Adidas for Anthony Edwards fiasco

In the diss track, Cam’ron compares Edwards with Kanye West, AKA Ye. Ye was signed with Adidas until the sports brand dropped him due to his controversial comments and anti-Semitism.

“Adidas I’m blaming you, this is your fault … Y’all think you got the b-ball version of Kanye,” Cam’ron rapped. “Come on stop it dude, y’all just stopping through. He do something you don’t like, you’ll drop him too,” implying that Anthony will get his contract terminated like Ye due to his outspoken nature.

He has already drawn comparisons with Michael Jordan from the NBA world due to his similar gameplay and trash-talking habits. If the former Bulldogs guard is anything close to His Airness, Adidas won’t make the same mistake of ditching him and letting him walk straight into Nike, which created a dynasty thanks to Air Jordan.
