Even before wearing the LA Lakers jersey, the newly drafted Bronny James impressed his future teammate. ESPN Insider Dave McMenamin disclosed how highly the team’s All-Star center Anthony Davis thinks of the young guard.

According to McMenamin, Bronny made an impression on Davis during his workout session with the team which made Davis tell the reporter, “He’s very good defensively.” Highlighting Bronny’s abilities, AD stated, “He can read the floor very well. I think he’s a really good playmaker. I saw him work out a couple times besides the [Klutch Sports] pro day and working with a big — his reads, reading the defense, making the right passes — that was really impressive to me.”

Not only this, Davis even encouraged the franchise to select Bronny in the 2014 NBA Draft. The Lakers chose him as the 55th pick in the second round. While many are happy with the decision, some were secretly making fun, behind closed doors.

Lakers Legend Caught Making Sarcastic Comments on Bronny James

At times unknowingly stars spill details which hit the front page headlines as soon as they come out in public. Something similar happened to NBA great James Worthy, who made remarks on Bronny James and JJ Redick.

Following round one of the Draft, the 63-year-old, in a mocking tone was heard saying, “Who we gonna be waiting for on the second day? Well, he’s the greatest young player ever right now, that’s Bronny – that’s what I’m gonna say.”

The Lakers’ legend further spoke about the franchise’s poor decision of selecting JJ Redick as the new head coach. Worthy is not the only one unhappy with the action but the franchise has shown immense faith in the rookie coach. However, his statement about Bronny might not be forgotten that easily.

The way Worthy’s comments have circulated on social media, it won’t be long before it reaches Bronny’s father the franchise’s superstar LeBron James. Worthy would certainly go down in the bad books of the 39-year-old. Now that Bronny has entered the league, there will be many more critical remarks made on him. It’ll be interesting to see how the former USC guard deals with those once he starts appearing on the hardwood.
