Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum has broken her silence after filing for divorce from NFL tight end Darren Waller.

Plum and Waller tied the knot just over a year ago, exchanging their vows on March 4, 2023, but their union is already over, with the WNBA guard taking to social media late last month to share a heartbreaking message in which she hinted she was done with the New York Giants TE.

“I’m devastated,” she wrote. “I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go. God has given me an incredible life, and I’m truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends, One day I’ll share my story, today is not that day. Thank you for the grace to process my pain, to forgive and move forward. Today and everyday I will continue to choose joy. Much love KP.”

Plum spoke to FOX reporter Paloma Villicana this week and discussed her personal life after being asked how she’s become a stronger athlete. She admitted that the offseason has been difficult for her, but it also strengthened her faith.

“The offseason has been tough for me,” Plum said. “I think everyone knows – it’s pretty public. For me, I’m super grateful. I think my faith has grown tremendously. Not just that, but I know who I am. You kind of get refined by fire.”

Plum also claimed to be excited about the upcoming season, with the Aces set to defend their WNBA title in 2024.

“I’m excited about this season,” she added. “I’m excited about Las Vegas trying to run it back again. I know that our fans are with us. I know that this organization is with us.”

Kelsey Plum Got A Harsh Wedding Gift From The Las Vegas Raiders Last Year

Kelsey Plum, a two-time WNBA champion with the Aces, began dating Waller while he was a player for the Las Vegas Raiders. They dated for around a year before getting married last March.

Waller was traded across the country to the Giants shortly after the wedding, much to their Chagrin, as Josh McDaniels (the Raiders’ former head coach) accidentally leaked their personal details and sent Waller packing thereafter.

Whether or not the distance impacted their relationship is unknown, but it’s come to an end in any case.

The Las Vegas Aces conquered Indiana Fever on Tuesday, thanks to a fiery performance from their superstar forward A’ja Wilson. The 2-time WNBA champion’s brilliance on the hardwood mesmerized her teammate Kelsey Plum so much that she ended up declaring Wilson the MVP for the season.

During the post-game press conference, Plum said, “Just another night at the the office, like, we take it for grantedhb But we’re watching one of the greatest players of all time in front of our eyes.” Then the Aces guard boldly added, “It’s a unanimous vote this year [for her as MVP], you feel me? Just saying.”

A’ja Wilson grabbed the spotlight with her remarkable offensive and defensive skills in the 88-69 win against Caitlin Clark’s Fever. The Aces’ leader entertained the Vegas crowd by putting up 28 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 stellar blocks on the scoreboard.

Wilson has impressive numbers of 27 points, 11 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.9 steals and 2.5 blocks per game this season, which could earn her the third MVP title as Plum speculated. The 29-year-old guard herself had a phenomenal contribution of 34 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory.

After showcasing her outstanding performance in the action-filled game, Wilson addressed the shift in energy this season in the league.
