Former New York Giants tight end Darren Waller was the husband of WNBA player and two-time champion Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces until they suddenly separated when they both announced they had filed for divorce.

Plum and Waller got married in March 2023.

Plum took to social media to show how heartbroken she was with the way things ended.

“I’m devastated,” Plum wrote on social media. “I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go. God has given me such an incredible life, and I’m truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends. One day I’ll share my story, today is not that day.”

Plum was the first overall pick of the 2017 WNBA draft and has won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and two WNBA Championships.

Waller made the Pro Bowl in 2020 while playing with the Raiders and has since retired from football after playing one season with the Giants.
