WHEEL of Fortune host Pat Sajak’s retirement plans have been revealed, as his final show will air on June 7 after 40 years with the game show.
An insider at the game show exclusively told The U.S. Sun what the host plans to do after he says goodbye to Wheel of Fortune.

“You can sum up Pat’s retirement plans in one word: Retirement,” the source said.
“Meaning, even though he has the looks and energy of somebody 25 years younger than he actually is, he has no plans to turn around and host another TV show.
“His consultancy deal with Sony is a pretty deliberate buffer against that.”
The source also said that when Pat, 77, isn’t working on Wheel of Fortune, his focus is on a “peaceful and happy home life” as well as his and his wife, Lesly Brown’s, charity.

They plan to continue focusing on those two aspects.
Pat only spent four days a month filming the game show with the occasional personal appearance.
So, he is already used to filling in the gaps during his free time.
“He has managed to do it without going crazy or having an extended midlife crisis,” the insider revealed.
PAT’S PASSIONS
The insider also revealed that one of Pat’s passions has always been Broadcasting.
“People are hoping he can help mentor and advise the next generation of TV and streaming hosts in retirement, but he’s also been doing that for years in a low-key way as well,” the source said.
“Especially since Alex Trebek’s passing, Pat is the guy you call if you’ve been hired to host a game show, and he is full of encouragement and solid advice for anybody asking.”
The source also said that they could see Pat turn to teaching.
“Education is a very big thing for him and he does have some once-in-a-generation knowledge to pass along,” the source said.
“He also has some experience doing comedy and stand-up that he can expand upon now that he’s out of Wheel.”
“But, Pat really has nothing left to prove in show business and should be very proud that he’s been able to leave this job on his own terms and leave the show in good hands,” the insider ended.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline
Although Pat and Vanna have been a staple on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts
Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981
He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)
Vanna White then stepped in as hostess in 1982 and has been ever since
After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought in Pat in 1982
Pat hosted with Susan for one season
He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS
For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place
In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS
He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991
The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement
‘PERFECTLY HAPPY’
Earlier this week, Pat revealed other retirement plans that would make him “perfectly happy.”
The host and his daughter, Maggie, 29, sat down for an interview on Good Morning America.
While Pat is open to other jobs, he is “looking forward to the simple life.”
“I’m perfectly happy if it just means that I’ll continue with my crossword puzzles and play with grandchildren. Hint hint hint,” he told his daughter.
Pat’s children, Maggie and Patrick, currently do not have any kids of their own.
She laughed as Pat said, “No pressure.”
Maggie is dating Scottish actor, Ross McCall, 48.
The couple was spotted kissing and holding hands in Los Angeles on March 26.
