Among the confirmed guests are Patriots legends such as David Andrews, Drew Bledsoe, Deion Branch, Matt Cassel, Patrick Chung, Julian Edelman, Kevin Faulk, Rob Gronkowski, Brian Hoyer, Dan Koppen, Ty Law, and Logan Mankins.
Devin McCourty, Willie McGinest, Randy Moss, Rob Ninkovich, Matthew Slater, Wes Welker, James White, and Vince Wilfork will also be in attendance. Julian Edelman, who was present at the Patriots minicamp on Monday, is also expected to attend the grand event.
Belichick has already confirmed his attendance
Notably, Bill Belichick, who spent 20 years with Brady in New England, helping the team to six Super Bowl victories, will be present. Belichick, along with a panel of former teammates, will share stories about Brady’s illustrious career and their time together. Patriots owner Robert Kraft will also deliver a heartfelt speech before inviting Brady to the podium.
While Rodney Harrison, another Patriots Hall of Famer, won’t be able to attend due to a college visit with his child, the ceremony promises no shortage of high-profile attendees and emotional moments.
Boston comedian Bill Burr will kick off the ceremony with an opening monologue, setting the stage for a night filled with laughter and nostalgia. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. ET to catch Burr’s performance and the surprise musical acts that will follow.
The ceremony will be full of symbolism
In an exceptional move, Patriots executives have chosen the 12th day of the sixth month for the ceremony, symbolizing Brady’s six Super Bowl championships and his iconic No. 12 jersey. The usual four-year waiting period for Hall of Fame induction has been waived in Brady’s case, highlighting the immense impact he had on the franchise.
As the 35th player to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, Brady’s legacy will be celebrated in a manner befitting the greatest football player of all time. This event is not just a tribute to Brady’s career but also a testament to his enduring influence on the sport and the New England Patriots.
Mark your calendars and get ready to witness history as Tom Brady is immortalized at Gillette Stadium. This is one celebration you won’t want to miss!
