The New York Jets have provided an injury update on star running back Breece Hall that bears monitoring with mandatory minicamp right around the corner.

Breece Hall is looking to build off a superb sophomore year that saw him post 994 rushing yards, five touchdowns and 76 receptions for 591 yards and four receiving scores. His 1,585 yards of offense placed Hall fourth in the league, behind only Christian McCaffrey, CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill.

Per Randy Lange of the Jets’ team official website, head coach Robert Saleh stated that Hall has been on the sidelines during team practices as he’s dealing with “some lower-half stuff.” Saleh wouldn’t specify the injury, noting that the team isn’t “concerned.”

But it’s still something to watch as the Jets prepare for mandatory minicamp. If it’s something related to Hall’s knee or ankle, the Jets will want to take extra precautions in getting Hall ready for 2024.

Breece Hall’s promising 2022 rookie season ended when he suffered a torn ACL in a Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos. With 463 rushing yards and four touchdowns in seven games Hall was on pace to surpass 1,100 yards rushing as a rookie.

Even without any meaningful support at quarterback last year, Hall managed to turn in a phenomenal sophomore year. With Aaron Rodgers set to return behind center, there’s no telling how much better the Jets offense could be in 2024.

Breece Hall & Jets Should Be Contenders In 2024

The Jets managed to finish 7-10 in a tough AFC East last year despite forgettable quarterback play from Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian. With the four-time league MVP set to return, the Jets should cement themselves as bonafide title contenders in 2024.

New York has a borderline top-10 defense and a nice set of weapons in Hall, Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Mike Williams. As long as Rodgers is healthy, the Jets should snap their 14-year postseason dought.

New Rams QB Jimmy Garoppolo Details Exactly What He Did That Led To Two-Game Suspension From NFL

New Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has finally revealed his miscue that led to a two-game suspension from the NFL.

With a clean track record, many were stunned to learn that the 32-year-old Garoppolo was suspended by the league for two games due to a violation of the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Garoppolo revealed that his suspension stemmed from him messing up a “therapeutic use exemption”, per ESPN’s Sarah Barshop:

“Rams backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo said Tuesday that his two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substances policy was because he “messed up” the therapeutic use exemption when he first got to Las Vegas.

The violation was related to the quarterback using a prescribed medication without having a valid therapeutic use exemption from the league, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter last month.”

Last week, the Rams signed Jimmy Garoppolo to a one-year contract following his release from the Las Vegas Raiders. “Jimmy G” had signed a three-year deal worth $72.75 million in 2023 free agency, but he was benched midway through the season in favor of rookie Aidan O’Connell.

A second-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2014, Garoppolo spent his first three and a half years in Foxborough, winning two Super Bowl rings as Tom Brady’s backup. Garoppolo was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2017 season and spent the next six years there before joining Vegas last year.
