Teaming up with Hailey Van Lith, Rhyne Howard, and Cierra Burdick for this year’s 3×3 games, Brink is eager to showcase her versatility. But there’s something else that has her even more pumped: the Opening Ceremony in Paris“Yeah, I think especially the opening ceremony is going to be really cool. Just excited for that, just to be a part of that historic moment and yeah, representing my country but also just admiring and appreciating other countries. Their talents and hard work. It’s going to be really cool,” she gushed.

Brink’s excitement is understandable. Her year has been nothing short of phenomenal. As the second overall pick in the WNBA draft, she’s already making waves with the LA Sparks. Leading the league in blocks per game during her first week, Brink’s stats are turning heads: 8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1 steal, and 2.6 blocks per game. Not too shabby for a rookie.

Brink dominates ESPN Rookie rankings

Her stellar performance has also earned her the top spot in ESPN’s latest rookie rankingsAshley Nicole Moss notes Brink’s defensive dominance, predicting she’s a strong contender for Rookie of the Year. Despite her success in the traditional 5×5 format, Brink is looking forward to the different challenges 3×3 basketball brings.

Having previously played 3×3 with Van Lith and Burdick, Brink is no stranger to the game’s fast-paced nature. “Yeah, it’s very different. You don’t have any time to dwell on your mistakes. For a player like me, I am allowed to be more versatile and kind of do a little bit of everything,” she said, highlighting how the fewer players on the court mean more responsibility and quicker decision-making.

Cameron Brink is definitely one to watch as she continues to make her mark in both the WNBA and on the international stage. Whether it’s blocking shots in LA or taking on the world in Paris, she’s ready to shine
