It’s official: Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker is a bandwagon NBA fan.
One would think that Micah Parsons is devoted to the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers or Dallas Mavericks for obvious reasons. The Penn State product is from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and supports both the 76ers and Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball.
But playing in Dallas, one could understand why Parsons might also side with Luka Doncic’s Mavs, who are now just one win away from the franchise’s first NBA Finals appearance since 2011.
Parsons attended the Mavericks’ Game 4 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, along with Cowboy teammates Osa Odighizuwa and Trevon Diggs. Unfortunately for the fourth-year linebacker, his decision to show up in a Mavs jersey led to social media detectives exposing him as a bandwagon fan:

We outlined above why Micah Parsons roots for the 76ers and Mavericks, but his apparent Boston Celtics fandom is a mystery. They’re the 76ers’ archrivals and have dispatched Philly from the postseason thrice since 2018.
Well, the good thing about being a bandwagon fan is that you’re never supporting a losing franchise. Parsons’ 76ers were eliminated by the New York Knicks in the opening round, but his Mavericks need just one more victory to set up an NBA Finals clash with his other team, the Celtics.
Micah Parsons Is In Line For Another Monster Year
It is no coincidence that the Cowboys have recorded three straight 12-win seasons in the Parsons era. The ex-Penn State star joined Dallas in 2021 and has single-handedly turned their defense into a consistent top-10 unit.
Parsons has racked up 40.5 sacks, eight pass breakups and seven forced fumbles over his first three seasons. The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year is set to go off yet gain as the Cowboys try to bounce back from last year’s stunning Wild Card Round loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Isaiah Buggs has been accused of animal cruelty.
According to civil documents filed in Tuscaloosa County District Court this Wednesday and obtained by Tuscaloosa Patch, the former Alabama star is expected to face misdemeanor criminal charges following the discovery of two dogs on his porch without access to food and water.
“The petition goes on to say that when TPD and the City of Tuscaloosa’s Animal Control officers arrived, they found a grey and white pitbull on the screened-in back porch surrounded in feces, with no access to food or water,” the Patch reports.
“What’s more, those responding reported finding a black Rottweiler mix locked in a metal cage in direct sunlight with no access to food or water.
“The petition said the dogs were seized on March 28 due to both being severely “malnourished, emaciated and neglected.”
What’s Become Of Buggs’ Dogs Following Their Discovery
According to a police report, Buggs’ lease was terminated on April 15 because he owed $3,116.90 in rent. Witnesses said he moved out of the residence on or around March 19.
The pit bull was euthanized by Tuscaloosa County Metro Animal Shelter in April due to high levels of aggression and failing heartworm treatment. The rottweiler mix, only 52 pounds upon arrival at the shelter, tested positive for the Parvo virus.
It remains in care at the shelter pending a ruling on whether Buggs should be allowed to have it back or own any other animals.
Two misdemeanor warrants have been prepared in Buggs’ name for second-degree cruelty to dogs or cats following the authorities’ failure to reach him.
