Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel has taken a swipe at New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers following a report from CNN claiming the latter does not believe the Sandy Hook shooting was real.
Said network claimed that the Jets QB had multiple private conversations in which he dismissed the 2012 incident as a government conspiracy, claiming everyone involved was acting.
The four-time MVP has since taken to social media to deny this, but he’s still coming under heavy criticism.
Kimmel, whose feud with the QB reignited several weeks ago, made up a conspiracy theory of his own during ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ this week in which he claimed Rodgers actually can’t play football and was using a body double the whole time.
“I hate to do this because I’m not the conspiracy type,” he began.
“But I have my own issues with Aaron Rodgers. I’ve spent the last couple of months looking into this, and I think it’s time to share something with the world. It’s going to shock you, so buckle in.”
“The first time he played in an NFL game was last year — the week before his first game with the Jets, Aaron’s body double, the guy who played every single game for him before this, died of COVID, and they had nobody dumb-looking enough to fill in,” he continued.
“So they had to bring in the real Aaron Rodgers, and he had to go in and fake an injury on the third play of opening day. That’s why he only threw one pass.”
Kimmel then went on to claim that the theory he had just voiced was more believable than some of Rodgers’ stories.
“Now, I know it sounds wild, but trust me, it’s more believable than some of Aaron Rodgers’ tall tales,” he quipped.
Rodgers sparked the dormant feud when he suggested that Kimmel was among those who did not want the “Epstein list” to be released. Naturally, everyone took it to mean that Kimmel’s name would show up on the list but Rodgers has insisted that he didn’t believe so himself and that’s simply not what he was saying.

The mayor of Margate City, New Jersey, has expressed regret to Jason and Kylie Kelce following the release of an online video purporting to document an altercation with a fan during Memorial Day Weekend.
A woman allegedly requested for a picture of Jason and Kylie Kelce when they were out on a date, and when they refused, she reportedly started scolding them. You can hear the woman threatening Kylie Kelce, saying they “will never be allowed in this town again.”
Kylie Kelce responded, “You have alcohol on your breath,” Kylie can be heard saying, rather coolly, on the video. “You’re embarrassing yourself.”
The eight-second video then ends as Kylie and the photo-seeker are separated.
Hugh E. Dillon, the creator of the blog Philly ChitChat, stated Jason and Kylie walked into the restaurant and “enjoyed their night.”
Margate City Mayor City Michael Collins offered the Kelces a free dinner on him to make up for their experience.
“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Collins wrote in a statement on Facebook. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”
Neither Kylie nor Jason Kelce has commented publicly on the incident or Mayor Collins’ apology.
The Kelces spent Memorial Day weekend at the seaside; they are well-known for their love of Sea Isle City. The former Philadelphia Eagles great, who recently retired, has frequently served as a charity guest bartender at Ocean Drive. According to Jason Kelce, he will once more serve as a guest bartender at the OD on June 26.
