UNIVERSAL Pictures has announced the fourth installment of the Bridget Jones movies.

Renée Zellweger is set to come back with two of her original cast members.

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy is officially a go, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Renée, 54, will reprise her role, alongside Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver.

Emma Thompson, who appeared in the 2016 film Bridget Jones’ Baby, is also returning.

Twelve Years a Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor and newcomer Leo Woodall will also join the veteran cast.

Leo recently appeared in Season 2 of The White Lotus and Netflix’s One Day.

Michael Morris will direct the upcoming film.

The rom-com will be released on Peacock on Valentine’s Day 2025 while also having an international theatrical release.

Renée first played Bridget in the 2001 adaptation, Bridget Jones’ Diary, based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Helen Fielding.

Helen wrote the script for the upcoming film, which is based on her 2013 novel, and also has a hand in executive producing it.

Bridget has gone through a lot in the past three movies.

In Mad About a Boy, Bridget will face new levels of embarrassment.

Tweets and texts are added to her diary as forms of expression.

Now 51, Bridget will now navigate single motherhood, being a widow, work, family, and life in general.

There are currently three Bridget Jones movies available for fans to watch, with the fourth in post-production. They are all based on the novels by Helen Fielding.

Renée first played Bridget in 2001 and was joined by Hugh, 64, and Colin Firth, who played Mark Darcy.

They all returned for the second film, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.

Renée and Colin, 63, starred in the third installment, Bridget Jones’ Baby, but Hugh did not.

Colin does not appear to be returning for the fourth movie.

The three movies together have earned more than $760 million worldwide.

The first film even earned Renée an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

Her last film was 2019’s Judy, where she played the late actress Judy Garland.
