Chicago’s 2024 regular season opens with a home tilt against Will Levis’ Tennessee Titans, followed by a showdown with CJ Stroud’s Houston Texans on “Sunday Night Football”. VIDEO: Internet Detectives Have Uncovered A Very Strange Coincidence About Jayden Daniels From The 2024 NFL Draft

Jayden Daniels is one of the NFL’s brightest rookies after he was selected second overall by the Washington Commanders in the 2024 NFL Draft. Daniels is slated to start in Washington for the 2024 season.

The selection has some Commanders fans reminiscing about the team’s last seemingly star quarterback, whom they also drafted with the second overall pick, but it was back in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Robert Griffin III was drafted with the second overall pick in the aforementioned 2012 by the Commanders franchise and was projected to be the team’s future. Had it not been for horrible injury mismanagement by the then-owner, Dan Schneider, he could have been.

However, the signal callers both being second overall picks by the Commanders isn’t their only similarity, as one internet south went and pointed out in an X post. The caption stated “Jayden Daniels wore the same suit RG3 wore when getting drafted.”

Could Jayden Daniels Be Headed Down The Same Path As RG3?

The post also included a video of the two selections’ videos layered over one another. Goodell reads the selection, and both Daniels and Griffin can be seen wearing blue suits on their way up to the stages after their moments with family.

This coincidence has Commanders fans biting their nails after how RG3 turned out in Washington. One fan replied, “I’ll take 2012 again without the injury,” and another asked if “Washington will be good but lose in the playoffs?” in reference to their 2012 season.

It should be noted that Dan Schneider sold the dysfunctional franchise to Josh Harris for over $6 billion last year. The change in ownership will hopefully lead to better results for Daniels compared to RG3, but only time will tell.
