Shedeur Sanders is very much like his father as he never lacks on confidence when it comes to his abilities on the field. Sanders isn’t letting a dip in his projected draft stock dampen his confidence. Despite seeing his ranking slide in early projections for the 2025 NFL Draft, he made a bold statement.

The Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback was recently asked whether he’s more like Michael Vick or Tom Brady, and he told Complex Sports he is a bit of both.

Speaking with Complex Sports, he asserted, “I’m a mixture of both.” Talking about his comparison, Sanders explained, “I’m able to stay composed in the pocket and deliver the ball consistently, like Brady.”

He also said, “But I also possess the agility and playmaking ability to extend plays, much like Vick.”

Sanders believes in his unique combination of abilities, as seen by his self-evaluation. Following his recent draft predictions, fans’ reactions to his comment were expected.

Shedeur Sanders isn’t the number one quarterback prospect in mock drafts anymore; instead, other quarterbacks like Carson Beck are preferred. Sanders isn’t discouraged, though. He considers his ability to combine agility and traditional passing to be a key component of his game. Sanders is criticized, though, since he has a propensity to hold onto the ball for too long. 52 sacks during the most recent NCAA season are a concerning result of it as well.

Sanders, who transferred to CU after two years at Jackson State, completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns for the Buffaloes last season.

Deion Sanders Thinks Shedeur Sanders ‘Probably’ Would’ve Been 2nd QB Selected in 2024 NFL Draft

Colorado football head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders stated his son, Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, would have been the second signal-caller taken in the 2024 NFL draft had he declared.

“He wouldn’t have been the first quarterback off the board,” Sanders said, per David Ubben of The Athletic.

“I think he had the ability, but he probably would have been the second quarterback off the board.”

Shedeur has plenty of time to prove it next year.

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders has made a stunning new purchase that has fans on social media going wild.

Shedeur, son of Buffs head coach Deion Sanders, is the most valuable player in college football where NIL is concerned and is hardly shy about flashing his wealth.

The QB was recently recorded showing off his new Tesla Cybertruck in a video you can see right below. The clip, made by Well Off Media, shows Shedeur claiming that the “Cyberbeast” model is the first of its kind delivered to Colorado.

The Cyberbeast is the most expensive version of the new Tesla model and starts at $99,990.

Here’s how social media reacted:

How Much Is Shedeur Sanders Worth?

As noted above, Shedeur Sanders is the most valuable player in college football. But how much is he actually worth? The star CU quarterback has been given a NIL valuation of $4.7 million by On3, with Bronny James the only other college player boasting a higher figure.

LeBron James’ son, who plays basketball for USC, is valued at 4.9 million.

Shedeur threw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns, with three interceptions, in his first year with the Buffs following his transfer from Jackson State. The team went 4-8 after starting at 3-0, going 1-8 in the Pac 12.

While Colorado’s season ended in disaster, Shedeur remains one of the most popular players in college and is expected to have a much better second season as his father has moved to address the glaring deficiencies on the offensive line.

The QB has been tipped to go in the first round in 2024 by draft experts while Coach Prime has him going top four.
