The 2024 NBA Draft has begun, and all the teams are ready to select their favorite players to upgrade their rosters for the next season. ESPN is broadcasting the event, and many fans are watching with great interest from their homes and other locations. However, a humorous incident occurred at the start of the NBA Draft. The ESPN network broadcasters made a blunder before the start of the first round of the Draft on Wednesday. They mistakenly labeled two players incorrectly.

During the introduction of 6’10 Small forward Tidjane Salaun, ESPN broadcasters mistakenly identified Salaun as Dalton Knecht. Additionally, during the introduction of Kyshawn George, the broadcasters confused George with Bub Carrington.

Although the exact origin of the confusion between Knecht and Salaün during the broadcast is unknown, it prompted viewers to discuss the issue. However, it is still unclear how this mix-up occurred because they do not resemble each other. On Wednesday night, the Charlotte Hornets selected forward Tidjane Salaün with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Salaün averaged 17.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, earning him the 2023 Trophée du Futur MVP title.
