Football fans are teeing off on Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders over his comments about being judged differently from other coaches.
Deion Sanders is entering his second season as head coach of the Buffaloes. He inherited a one-win team and quadrupled their win total in just one year, though the Buffs lost eight of their final nine games following a perfect 3-0 start.
While speaking to reporters during the Big 12 media day at Allegiant Stadium (home of the Las Vegas Raiders), “Prime Time” was asked if he feels pressure “to perform at a higher level” based on his status.
“Yes. I’m judged on a different scale. My wins are totally different than your wins. Your wins, you’re just judging football…I can’t win nine games and…our GPA suffers. Our GPA can’t be high, but we lose another eight games….My wins are different. We have to win in every area. That’s the way we’re judged.”
Sanders added that higher expectations have been part of him throughout his life, not just football.
Let’s just say that fans on X/Twitter didn’t buy Deion Sanders’s statement about being judged differently from other coaches.
