Host Ken Jennings, 50, introduced the category “celebrity lifestyle and beauty brands” to players Adriana Harmeyer, Matthew, and Carol.
“Kim Kardashian started this brand to create shapewear to match different skin tones,” Ken read out for the $1,600 clue.
Adriana was left speechless and unable to answer the question.
The archivist did, however, manage to get the correct answers for the other stars named in the clues.
Gwyneth Paltrow got a shout-out with her lifestyle brand, Goop, as did Jessica Alba with her wellness brand, the Honest Company.
Hailey Bieber was also mentioned with Rhode Skincare, and Machine Gun Kelly had a clue about his nail polish brand Un/Dun Laqr.
Jeopardy! fans cracked up over the players’ lack of knowledge of Kim’s business.
“Kim was a clue on Jeopardy tonight and nobody buzzed in [laughing face emoji],” one wrote on Reddit.
“All the other clues in the category were answered correctly.”
“I’m so glad they consciously avoided that obvious plug,” another added.
“I hate that there is advertising in trivia ffs,” a third posted.
“What is Skims? No clue [laughing face emoji],” someone else commented.
Kim launched Skims in June 2019 with entrepreneur Jens Grede. The shapewear line was valued at more than $4 billion by 2023.
Adriana has enjoyed a winning streak on Jeopardy! and impressed fans in Friday’s episode when she saved herself from losing $11,000.
During the Final Jeopardy! round against Josh Moss and Amy Yao, the group was faced with a “historic people” category.
