Lindsey Vonn Became “Friends” With Kris Humphries Amid His Divorce With Kim Kardashian

In late March 2013, Us Weekly reported that Humphries was one of Vonn’s “suitors” before the Olympic skier dated Woods. “Woods wasn’t Vonn’s only suitor,” the source told the magazine. “Bachelor No. 2 was none other than Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries.” However, they noted that things likely didn’t get “physical” between them.

Later on, a source told E! News : “Kris did not date Lindsey. They were friends, but absolutely nothing more.”

In June 2012, the retired NBA player tweeted: “Hanging with a fellow Minnesotan @lindseyvonn. Gotta get her back on lake minnetonka soon!” But someone close to Humphries told New York Post that “it’s not true. They hung out with a group of friends last summer in Los Angeles. They met at a club that once and that was it.”

Kris Humphries and Lindsey Vonn (both 39 as of this writing) were both born in Minnesota.

On March 18, 2013, three years after Woods’ divorce from Elin Nordegren, he announced on his Facebook page that he and Vonn were dating. “Something nice that’s happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn,” he wrote in his post. “Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating.”

But after two years, the couple called it quits due to their “hectic” lives. In a statement posted on his website, the golfer said: “Lindsey and I have mutually decided to stop dating. I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I’ll always cherish our time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family.”

On the Keeping Up with the Kardashian reunion in 2021, she said she felt “pressured” to push through with their nuptials because it was being filmed for the show. Kris Jenner even offered to help her daughter get out of the wedding. Kardashian recounted: “What you said to me is: ‘I’m going to put you in a car, no one will find you, just leave and I’ll handle it.'”
