The golf influencer has spoken out again

Paige Spiranace issues cryptic message after offering support to Caitlin Clark

In a bit of cross-sport support, former golf pro and influencer Paige Spiranac threw her backing behind Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark after the rookie point guard was shoulder-checked by the Chicago Sky‘s Chennedy Carter during a game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The incident — whether or not it was provoked by a flying elbow from Clark at the other end of the court — drew forceful responses from around the sports world, most of them supporting Clark.

Spiranac was one of those who protested “unfair treatment” of Clark following the hard foul, which the WNBA subsequently upgraded to a flagrant foul. However, it appears there is more to the story, as Spiranac took to social media to share a more-opaque message with her followers.

Paige preaches kindness in the face of hate

Thank you for watching

On Instagram Stories, Spiranac shared a four-sentence message with her four million followers on the app after she offered public support to Clark. After thanking followers for their “kind messages,” Spiranac issued a reminder “to not send hateful messages to someone else in a way to support” her.

Spiranac’s creativity and knowledge of how to market herself have made indispensable reading out of her posts and her musings — case in point being her X/Twitter post about Clark, which has been “liked” more than 40,000 times and quoted/reposted in excess of 3,000 times. It seems that fierce debate — if not arguments — broke out in Spiranac’s X and Instagram comments over her support for Clark, and whether or not it was warranted.

Meanwhile, Clark’s Fever won that game against the Sky, 71-70, perhaps sparking a new Midwest rivalry with Angel Reese’s team. Clark on Monday was designated as the WNBA’s top rookie for the month of May, standing out in light of some tough times for her team.

Netflix has edited out one of the most memorable and hilarious moments from “The Roast of Tom Brady” that the streaming giant aired on Sunday.

Tom Brady was the target of jokes all night long from a series of A-lister celebrities, former NFL teammates and friends. Kevin Hart hosted the star-studded event which featured appearances from the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jeff Ross, Will Ferrell, Nikki Glaser, Tom Segura, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Peyton Manning, Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick, among others.

One of the more notable parts of the roast was when Kardashian came on stage to roast the seven-time Super Bowl champion. It wasn’t necessarily memorable because of what Kardashian said, but rather the fact that she was booed during her speech:

Tom Brady Is Sticking Around In The Spotlight

Fans who grew up watching Tom Brady certainly realized last year that football wasn’t the same without him. But on the bright side, Sunday’s event was just one of many public appearances that Brady will make from here on out in his post-playing career.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time league MVP is set to begin his “NFL on FOX” broadcasting career this fall, where he’ll work alongside Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews. Brady will enter the first of a 10-year, $375 million deal he signed with FOX back in 2022.

On top of that, the soon-to-be 47-year-old and future Hall of Famer is in the process of acquiring a Las Vegas Raiders ownership stake.
