Taylor Swift thrilled fans in Amsterdam on Saturday, July 6, by performing a long-awaited song during her sold-out Eras Tour concert. The 34-year-old pop star delighted the audience with a mashup of “Mary’s Song,” “So High School,” and “Everything Has Changed” during the secret songs segment.

Ending the mashup, Swift sang the poignant closing lyrics of “Mary’s Song” from 2006: “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89 / I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine / In the sky, oh my my my.”

These lines have taken on new meaning since Swift began dating NFL star Travis Kelce, whose jersey number is 87, and Swift, born in 1989, has an album titled 1989.

This was the first time Swift performed “Mary’s Song” since 2008, and her radiant smile was matched by the crowd’s enthusiastic response, while Kelce was in attendance, marking another special moment in their relationship.

In a playful nod to Kelce‘s presence, Swift altered the lyrics of “Karma” to reference “the guy on the Chiefs,” a gesture she reserves for when Kelce is in the audience.

Swift’s European tour

These Amsterdam shows are part of Swift‘s first visit to the Netherlands since her 1989 World Tour in 2015, having skipped the country during her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour.

Her three performances in Amsterdam followed a weekend in Dublin, where she deftly handled a minor stage malfunction and hosted Kelce and actress Julia Roberts in the VIP tent.

Swift‘s next performances will be in Zurich, Switzerland, where she is set to play two consecutive nights. Later this summer, she will wrap up the European leg of her tour with five shows in London.
