On June 2, Rodgers responded to the viral speculation by posting a photo on his Instagram story of himself shaking hands with Trump at the UFC event.

He captioned the image, “pic with President Trump,” adding “priceless” along with a green check emoji and the hashtag “handshake.”

This post came in response to a viral video where Trump, escorted by UFC president Dana White, walked to his seat, greeting fans along the way.

In the footage, Rodgers and his former Green Bay Packers teammate Mercedes Lewis appeared to stay seated as Trump passed by, with Rodgers briefly glancing up but not visibly reacting.

While some Trump critics praised Rodgers for what seemed like a snub, others were displeased with what they perceived as a slight.

By sharing the handshake photo, Rodgers aimed to dispel any misunderstandings and highlight his acknowledgment of Trump during the event.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. previously confirmed that among his potential vice-presidential prospects was New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Soon, after that news, it was revealed that he stated deranged conspiracy theories about the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting not being real.

Rodgers responded to a CNN report that he cast doubt on the veracity of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, which killed 20 children and six adults.

“As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy,” Rodgers said in a statement on X.

“I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community.”
